Meaghan enjoys the energy and passion children bring to yoga and has been selected to teach through the Australian Government’s Sports Commission as an Active After School Coach. Her previous work with children includes touring children’s shows internationally as a performer, setting up the Sydney Airport/Youth Off the Street/Company B Belvoir drama program, and working as a volunteer drama therapist in the Queensland Autistic Centre has provided her with plenty of experience in this area.

“The Active After-school Communities program is a federal government initiative aimed at engaging traditionally non-active children in structured physical activity. Programs operate in the after school time slot at primary schools throughout Australia and local coaches in a wide variety of sports are engaged to deliver 8 week sporting programs to schools in their region.
Meaghan delivered Yoga at several schools in the local area, working with a variety of children, including children with special needs.
At all times Meaghan has been professional and courteous in her dealings and delivery with the children and school personnel. Her knowledge has been outstanding and she has required little help or extra resourcing from my office. Her manner with the children was excellent and the programs she delivered challenged and encouraged all participants. I was impressed with Meaghan’s ability to deliver quality programs and deal with different facets of the community.
I would recommend Meaghan as a very bright and friendly Yoga instructor who works well with a variety of children and always acted in a professional manner with both the schools and the Australian Sports Commission office.“
